Your new role
The Navigator team is excited to announce an exclusive opportunity for a passionate individual to join the Navigator Program team as a Case Manager.
Working collaboratively with partner agencies, the Case Manager will provide direct support to a caseload of disengaged learners. The role will undertake comprehensive assessments, establish and lead a care team, and work together with children and families to establish individualised education re-engagement plans.
About your team / About the program
Delivered in partnership with the Australian Childhood Foundation, the Navigator Program utilises a trauma-informed, culturally safe assertive case management model to respond to challenges experienced by young people aged 12–17 years with the goal of re-engaging disengaged learners in education.

Your skills and experience
You will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, or a related discipline.
You will also have:
* Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable young people and families.
* Knowledge of family services, child protection, and the department of education and training, including relevant legislation and regulations.
* Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed and culturally competent practice, including knowledge and application of therapeutic parenting practices.
* An understanding of the barriers experienced by disengaged learners.
* Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with other services, agencies, and professionals to achieve optimal client outcomes.
