We are now looking for a strong Civil Landscape Supervisor to join our energetic team in a full-time capacity.
Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of civil construction projects, including managing and mentoring teams of construction workers, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining high safety standards. The Civil Landscape Supervisor will report to the Project Manager and will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities: • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of civil and landscape construction projects, including earthworks / pavements / hard landscaping on major infrastructure projects.
• Manage construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they have the necessary resources to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure project timelines are met and that work is completed to a high standard of quality.
• Monitor and report progress to the Project Manager, identifying any issues that may impact project delivery.
• Manage project budgets and expenses, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and that work is completed within budget constraints.
• Ensure high safety standards are maintained on site, implementing and enforcing all relevant safety policies and procedures.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues they may have.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and other project-related paperwork.
Requirements: • 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. We are also open to a strong leading hand looking to take the next step in their career.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams of construction workers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
• Solid understanding of civil construction processes and techniques, including excavation, grading, and paving.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
