We are looking for a talented and reliable person with apositive attitude to join the City of Mandurah to complete atraineeship in Conservation and Land Management.
As a trainee you will complete a nationally recognisedqualification (Certificate III in Conservation and EcosystemManagement) while gaining practical knowledge and skills in generalbushland maintenance tasks through on the job experience.
What does the ideal candidate bring to City ofMandurah?
School leavers: OLNA or NAPLAN 9 Band 8 Non-school leavers: C grades in Year 12 English and Maths or Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management Genuine demonstrated interest in conservation and land management Current unrestricted C-B (Manual) class national driver's licence Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual tasks in all weather conditions High level of attention to detail Self-motivated and keen to learn Ability to problem solve Be a confident communicator Ability to follow instructions and take direction A strong team player Basic knowledge of hand tools Reliable and hardworking Computer skills with the ability to operate MS Office software packages, tablets and mobile devices The finer details This fulltime position attracts a salary range of $34,354 to$59,339 gross per annum dependent on age.
The traineeship is 2years in duration and is located at the Council's SouthernOperations Centre in Dawesville.
Successful applicants willneed to obtain their white card prior to commencing and complete afull medical including a drug and alcohol test.
