Industry Engagement and Impact Officer (Research)SMHS INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT AND IMPACT OFFICER (RESEARCH) SCHOOL OF MEDICAL & HEALTH SCIENCES JOONDALUP CAMPUS $115,042-129,573 (HEW 8) FIXED TERM, FULL TIME, 12 MONTHS OverviewThe School of Medical and Health Science leads research at Edith Cowan University with over 100 researchers and academic staff working across a wide range of disciplines. Such research is conducted in partnership with, or as a result of, funding from a range of state, national and international organisations, including the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), Healthway, health service providers, elite sporting organisations (i.e. Australian Institute of Sport, Western Australian Institute of Sport) and industry.Our researchers have strong cross-disciplinary alliances and collaborate extensively with relevant domestic and international organisations to ensure that our research addresses real-world problems and has direct impact at an individual, community and global level.Research within the School ranges from laboratory-based biomarker discovery through to clinical and population health and applied exercise and sports science research. A particular focus of the School is to actively engage in collaborative research with relevant medical, health government, sport services providers and industry, leading to knowledge translation, application of findings and research with impact.Under the direction of the Associate Dean (Research), the Industry Engagement officer will be responsible for expanding industry research partnerships and drive industry engagement for researchers. This will include planning and running industry-researchers engagement workshops, compiling and analysing findings. The role will undertake capability mapping within SMHS and develop a targeted strategy for industry engagement. For established relationships, it would be expected that support will be provided to facilitate and support researcher-led engagement with external partners to grow research income.Key responsibilities of the position include: Expanding industry research partnerships.Driving industry engagement for researchers.Planning and running industry-researchers engagement workshops.Compiling and analysing findings.Undertaking capability mapping within SMHS.Developing a targeted strategy for industry engagement.Facilitating and supporting researcher-led engagement with external partners.
