About the Role They are currently seeking 2x highly professional WHS Safety Partners to join their team in either Goulburn OR Penrith. These are an estimated 6-month temporary assignments, with a strong potential to extend.
Working within the Clinical Operations Sector, you will be responsible for the provision of work, health and safety knowledge and advice services to portfolio clients including frontline workers, to maintain a safe workplace, add value to business units and achieve performance expectations. You will play a pivotal role in contributing to operational delivery of key work, health and safety programs including the launch of a new safety strategy, implementation of a new safety management system aligned to ISO45001 and 45003, delivery of a key risk and critical control framework and targeted programs for operational risks.
Responsibilities Cultivate, foster and promote a safety-focused workforce Drive and lead safety engagement across clinical operations Maintain up-to-date, thorough understanding of WHS policies and procedures throughout the operational environment Coach and implement WHS programs in consultation with the Manager, Safety Partnering Build workforce WHS capability including ways to identify and monitor safety Review and revise all current operational WHS documentation Develop and implement training communication and promotion on new safety systems to deliver measurable safety improvements Contribute to and deliver programs to reduce risks, injuries and illness whilst improving WHS performance Establish and maintain effective business partnerships through customer engagement Partner with managers to conduct routine audits, generating reports on WHS issues and trends Facilitate WHS training across the workforce, maintaining accurate records Complete safety risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting and recording of incidents Attend to safety incidents after hours, as required Participate in the preparation, review and delivery of WHS Strategy Ensure compliance with best practice and all Workcover requirements About you Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels High attention to detail Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing deadlines Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Health Sciences, Human Movement, Sport Science or an equivalent field Certificate IV in OHS Minimum 3 years' experience in Work, Health and Safety within a Health or Emergency Services environment advantageous Proven risk assessment and implementation of controls experience Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel, as required.
