Your role Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a trade qualified candidate for the Textiles role at Lithgow Correctional Centre.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you must have experience in Textiles or Garment Manufacturing.
What you'll do As the Overseer, you will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates as well as Quality control / inspection responsibilities to ensure compliance.
You are also required to have sound computer knowledge, show strong resilience and have robust time management skills.
What we're looking for As a standout candidate you will have:
Experience with clothing production or other relevant experience is highly desiredDemonstrated staff management skillsWillingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goalsThe successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional PracticeMust be willing to undertake relevant training as required (paid by CSI)Minimum current Certificate III or greater in textiles and Garment ManufacturingCurrent Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframesCurrent NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as requiredGeneral understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applicationsConsideration will be given to applications who can demonstrate experience in textilesMust be willing to undertake training to upskill to textilesDownload the role description.
