Add expected salary to your profile for insights National Mobile Camps (NMC) has grown to be the number 1 service provider in Australia for remote trailerised camp accommodation.We're in a period of rapid growth and are looking for a Plumber to join our growing team.If you've had previous experience in camp maintenance, we'd love to hear from you!The Opportunity You will provide support to our operations and maintenance teams and will be responsible for the following: Carry out all maintenance and repairs of plumbing equipment on NMC camp facilities Quickly respond to plumbing issues including; leaking pipes, blocked drains, faulty water systems and other plumbing-related emergencies Undertake the test, installation and commissioning of Plumbing plant and equipment at our Laydown Yard or at remote sites Perform regular checks and repairs on sewage and waste disposal systems, including septic tanks and drainage systems to prevent backups or malfunctions Carry out all routine inspections and preventative maintenance Provide over the phone or in person support to camp management, maintenance staff and contractors Manage any Plumbing & Drainage applications with various Councils Travel to operational sites to assist with camp mobilisations, demobilisations and camp moves Ad hoc handyperson duties such as changing tyres, painting, completing wash down of equipment Complete all paperwork including checklists and HAZOB's Skills and Experience The ideal candidate will have: Good knowledge of plumbing systems, tools and maintenance procedures Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of plumbing systems, preferably in a mobile or remote camp setting Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on various plumbing systems, including water lines, waste systems and water equipment Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role Proven ability to work effectively within a team High level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure work meets industry standards and specifications Ability to troubleshoot on site issues and adapt to changing work conditions Current QBCC Occupational Licence (Drainer & Plumber) Contractors Plumbing & Drainage Licence Current C Class Drivers Licence Highly Regarded: Experience working in remote site-based environments Understanding of mobile camp operations IVMS experience About you Reliable Safety minded Able to work unsupervised in remote locations Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen You will be working 12 hour days, so will need to be physically fit A "lifestyle" roster of two weeks on and two weeks off Paid training Meals & Accommodation provided at NMC's Field Operation Facility and at mobile camps operating throughout Queensland and other states Opportunity to work in a dynamic and evolving environment Where to from here?First thing to do is click on "Apply" below and provide us with a copy of your most up to date resume.If you meet the criteria, we'll give you a call to arrange an interview.
