What You'll Do: As a Backup Boiler Attendant, you'll step into the role of Boiler Attendant/PCP Operator during periods of absence and play a vital part in our day-to-day operations: Operate rendering equipment, including hammermills, boilers, cookers, and presses.
Manage 2 MW boilers to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Oversee rendering cookers and maintain accurate records of facility performance.
Report on stock inventories of ingredients and consumables.
Make sound judgments regarding product quality, consulting technical resources when needed.
Conduct pre-start audits and ensure equipment is ready for operation.
Contribute to continuous improvement projects and problem-solving initiatives.
Accurately communicate during shift handovers and maintain detailed logs.
What You'll Bring to the Role: A current Australian Driver's License.
A boiler license and/or mechanical experience (highly desirable).
Previous work experience demonstrating mechanical and technical aptitude.
A commitment to health, safety, and quality as a role model for others.
The ability to work under pressure and maintain high attention to detail.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a strong work ethic.
