Avondale University is seeking applications for a full-time Marketing Manager to join the Students and Engagement Team.

This important role will have you overseeing the marketing team and driving student growth and revenue. The role will ensure relationships with stakeholders are upheld and we are positively promoting Avondale’s brand.
What will you do?
Some of the main duties will include:
Develop and implement a marketing plan that leverages Avondale’s key points of difference to drive growth in student enrolment.
Identify trends in the market, evaluate channels and mediums to make appropriate decisions for promotion of the University.
Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing team activity to meet changing market conditions.
Manage marketing team personnel, including setting objectives, inspiring, motivating performance management and professional development.
Manage the marketing budget.
Ensure promotion of Avondale’s Seventh-day Adventist mission and ethos in marketing activities, as appropriate.
Oversight of the marketing aspects of Avondale’s website.
Provide direction on and approval of all collateral, ensuring legislative compliance, brand adherence and accuracy.
Liaise effectively with relevant stakeholders.
Ensure effective systems and processes are in place to support the marketing team.
Oversee the preparation of marketing activity reports.
Set the digital marketing strategy and direct staff in the implementation of digital marketing activities.
Review and analyse marketing activity and performance against programs and devise plans to determine effectiveness.
About you
To be successful in the Marketing Manager role, you will be a motivated leader who has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will be the driving force behind the marketing team and achieve business growth.
Essential criteria
A relevant degree or appropriate industry experience, in marketing, business or related discipline.
At least ten years previous marketing and/or sales experience, with at least 5 years management experience.
Highly developed interpersonal and public communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent people management skills.
Ability to think and plan in a visionary and entrepreneurial manner.
Ability to manage complex tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Cooperate with all Work Health & Safety policies and procedures related to the work being undertaken and ensure that their actions or omissions do not impact on the health and safety of others at Avondale.
Promote a safe workplace and identify unsafe practices.

Desirable criteria
Previous experience in working with other cultures.
Understanding of youth culture and tertiary-aged people.
Previous experience with higher education providers.
The ability to travel as required.

Salary: Avondale Higher Education Worker Level 9 $118,166 – $127,492 per annum, plus superannuation.
