Our client is a leader in the chemical wholesale industry, where innovation and excellence drive their success.
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with experience selling/procuring chemical products within the animal feed industry to spearhead their growth initiatives within the Australian market and play a crucial role in their expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive lead generation efforts through ANZ market research, referrals, tradeshows, and other strategic activities.
* Actively participate in industry events and conferences both domestically and internationally to represent our brand and build a robust professional network.
* Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with potential and existing clients, identifying new growth opportunities.
* Prepare and deliver engaging pre-sales presentations and high-level product demonstrations.
* Oversee the negotiation process, including scope, delivery, and commercial terms.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination and execution of sales initiatives.
* Produce formal monthly reports outlining key activities, pipeline, and performance metrics.
* Develop and implement monthly and quarterly sales strategy plans.
* Collaborate with the Managing Director on sales-related tasks and report directly to them.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of proven experience in selling or procuring chemical products, preferably within the animal feed industry.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Strong ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
* Experience in professional environments with a strong customer service orientation.
* High level of interpersonal skills with excellent time management capabilities.
