The Aboriginal Family Literacy Strategy (AFLS) provides an additional teacher to connect and engage three year old Aboriginal children (and 4 year old Aboriginal children prior to their eligible year of Preschool), and families, with our preschool program. What you will do: We are seeking a passionate educator to join our early childhood team to work 1.0 FTE with 3-year-old children and families to complete detailed One Plans. The teacher is required to: ? work with existing centre programming using the Early Years Learning Framework and to be collaborative in their approach to the development and deliverance of the program, ? have an understanding of completing Learning stories, working with whole text approach to programming, ? be collaborative and engaged with all staff to set, re-set and follow child lead learning as part of an inquiry-based learning project, and ? be well organised, have appropriate time management skills and work independently allowing deadlines to be met. What you will bring: ? Relevant experience working with young children in a preschool or early education setting. ? Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. ? Ability to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
