Department of Health are seeking a Provisional Psychologist to join the Family Violence Counselling and Support Services - Child and Young Person Program (CHYPP). Join a passionate, dynamic and supportive team in providing counselling and support to children, young people and their families who have experienced family violence. Please note this is a dual classified position and is also being advertised as an Psychologist (517844).Only one position will be filled on merit. The role: Assist children and young people to recover from the effect of family violence trauma through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support. Undertake appropriate forms of interventions within family violence, trauma and attachment frameworks in line with evidence-based practice and contemporary therapeutic models. Undertake psychological assessments of children, young people and their families using standardised assessment methods. Provide therapeutic interventions, case management services and, if necessary, referrals to appropriate agencies. Contribute to and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, including group programs and sessions for clients of Children and Young Persons' Program (CHYPP) and Family Violence Counselling and Support Service (FVCSS). Details of Appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Location: North West - Tasmania Salary: $71,441 - $107,878 per annum.Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
