About the Role
The Program is seeking ongoing technical resourcesto change the way licensing services are delivered to the citizens of NSW.
We are looking for a Data Architect to provide high quality professional dataarchitecture and design services within DCS. The Data Architect shall beresponsible for the information and data model across the solutionincluding the reflection of the model in applications, application interfaces,databases, warehouses, dashboards and reports and analytics.
The data architect will work closely with solution architects and businessanalysts to define and implement the future state design of an innovativeregulatory licensing solution.
Business Objectives of role:
The data architect shall beresponsible for and drive the definition of the data architecture and masterdata requirements and design of a new regulatory licensing solution.
As part of the team delivering the new regulatory licensing solution the dataarchitect is also responsible for the delivery of the data migration and datatransformation and rules from the existing legacy platform(s) into the new regulator platform
The data architect shall be responsible for :
4. Identify, analyse and model current state data architecture including standards, terminologies and classifications.
5. Analyse, develop and document the future data architecture through the decomposition of information and data requirements, models to identify gaps in the current state architecture.
6. Develop the target state data architecture including the development of all required artefacts such as logical and physical data models, data standards, terminologies, classifications, and principles.
7. Develop the data migration staging area data model (business objects), transformation rules, data standards and principles.
8. Develop the data migration target state, transformation rules and ETL design data standards and principles.
9. Assessing quality of data and support data cleansing processes and working with business teams to resolve data quality issues.
10. Setting up data tools such as ETL and data quality tools
11. Mapping data elements against various system integration requirements
Inform the development of API Schemas and ensure consistency across source and target system.
12. Develop API transformation rules to ensure data can be seamlessly integrated between source and target systems.
13. Work with business data groups/teams to gather information and insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns.
14. Creating visualisations of data
15. Solicit, communicate and share the data architectural requirements.
16. Participate when needed in the project meetings and customer workshops.
17. Preparing reports for executive and project teams
Qualifications
18. Must have a tertiary qualification in IT, Systems Engineering, Digital, Data Management, Information
19. Management, Business Intelligence, Data Science or equivalent
20. Data Architecture Certification (Desirable)
21. TOGAF 9 Certification Program
22. AWS Certification Program
23. Azure Certification Program
24. Microsoft Certification Program
25. Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
26. Arcitura Certified Big Data Architect
27. IBM Certified Data Architect – Big Data
