The Security Advisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Defence security requirements. This includes all aspects of security governance, personnel security, physical security, information security and supply chain security. Key Responsibilities Overall responsibility for the management of security clearances held by company employees, the provision of advice relating to the maintenance of security clearances, and establishing and maintaining relationships with key agencies associated with the provision of security clearances Ensuring all security related requirements relating to the onboarding and offboarding of company employees are met. Management of business and personal related security requirements relating to overseas travel of company security clearance holders. Implementing, coordinating, and overseeing all security measures in accordance with current frameworks and/or requirements for the protection of national security classified material and official information, including dissemination limiting markers. Preparing and forwarding visit advice for security cleared employees requiring entry to sensitive or controlled areas of Defence or defence contractor establishments in Australia and overseas. Skills, Experience and Qualifications A detailed understanding of the Defence security environment and its associated practices and procedures. A working knowledge of security alarm, keying and access control systems Experience with handling national security classified information at all levels Excellent communication skills in all its forms Experience in the operational use of IT systems such as the Defence Protected Network. You must be and Australian citizen and/or eligible to obtain and maintain a NV2 Security Clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at.
