Job Title: Full Time Credit Officer

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Officer to manage credit assessment and collection processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Audit and evaluate customer credit applications according to company policies and risk management guidelines.
* Monitor and manage outstanding accounts, ensuring timely collections and minimising bad debt risk.
* Conduct credit checks and financial analysis on new and existing customers.
* Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payment histories, and credit limits using the Navision System.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding overdue accounts, payment plans, and dispute resolution.
* Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. sales, finance, and legal) to mitigate credit risks and ensure smooth transactions.
* Prepare reports on credit performance, overdue accounts, and risk exposure for management review.
* Evaluate and maintain compliance with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and company credit policies.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Experience: Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial services is required.
* Qualifications: A qualification in credit management, finance, accounting, business, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
* Skills & Attributes:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
o Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
o Proficiency in financial software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Knowledge of Australian privacy regulations and credit risk management.
