About the Role Rare opportunity. Promote active consumer, carer and family participation in care delivery and embed a culture of positive patient experience. This is a key role, reporting to the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer. Collaborating with a range of leaders and teams across Monash Health, the role is responsible for leading people working across patient experience, consumer partnerships, volunteer services, consumer relations and family violence. The position's key result areas include: Ensuring we consistently meet the requirements Partnering with Consumers National Safety and Quality Health Services (NSQHS) Standards Implementing the Safer Care Victoria Partnering in Healthcare Framework Effective support of and engagement with the Community Advisory Committee Delivering continuous improvement of systems for patient feedback and service recovery Demonstrating continuous improvement as measured by a range of surveys Providing exemplary leadership to and further development of already high performing teams This is an influential senior leadership role, providing the opportunity to lead service design and evaluation and actively support our commitment to reducing family violence. The position will be appointed on a full time, permanent basis. About You Your experience and expertise: Demonstrating extensive leadership experience in consumer participation/patient experience, engagement or a related field, your proven leadership and influencing skills enable you to lead and manage teams effectively. You have in-depth knowledge and understanding of NSQHS Standards, experience preparing for National Standards accreditation and managing and improving consumer feedback in accordance with Health Complaint Handling Standards (2023). Your highly developed project management, analytical, communication and organisational skills will be critical to your success. Postgraduate qualifications in health or a related field are expected. In addition, you bring knowledge of the broader trends and issues within the Victorian Health system as well as a flair for innovation.
