The Role: Ensuring the timely, accurate, and efficient receipt, coordination, and collation of shipping information in compliance with Terminal Regulations and Shippers Agency Agreements.Facilitate communication between external stakeholders, Shipping Officers, and internal Operations teams.A significant challenge for the position is the requirement to provide a consistent point of access for internal and external shipping stakeholders that ensures accuracy in pre-berthing and post-departure processes resulting in quality service levels. We're Looking For: Experience in the shipping industry is desirable.A friendly professional who approaches customer service to internal and external stakeholders in a personable and knowledgeable manner. Your Skills and Experience: Ensure compliance with DBCT P/L Terminal Regulations and stakeholder requirements.Manage commercial documentation and serve as a key stakeholder contact.Support logistics planning for efficient vessel scheduling, loading, and sailing.Build strong relationships with DBCT P/L Users to provide support and updates.Conduct vessel vetting and ensure adherence to Terminal Regulations.Communicate key shipping information for smooth shift handovers.Stay informed on site activities and liaise with specialists to address potential issues.Provide training and support for operational software and systems.Recommend improvements to shipping and vessel management processes.Ensure full compliance with regulatory and legislative frameworks.Share feedback with planners and update Shipping Officers on changes.Assist the Shipping Superintendent where required.Ability to work a lifestyle roster of day shift only; being 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off, 5 on, 5 off.
