Queensland Corrective Services (Organisation site) South Coast Region; Community Corrections; Community Corrections & Specialist Operations; Burleigh HeadsCommunity Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Community Corrections is divided into seven regions each with a number of district offices and reporting centres. Communication Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising offenders in the community in which they live and encourage offenders to adopt more pro-social attitudes and behaviours.The Administration Officer contributes to the effective operation of the district office by providing administration support.Manage and provide a variety of administrative functions and quality, confidential administrative support including diary management, organising meetings, book travel arrangements, answer general enquiries at reception and screen phone calls.Provide support to staff on administrative issues and assist with the preparation of memorandums, reports and correspondence checking for formatting and grammatical errors and amend where necessary.Perform opening and closing procedure.Maintain Human Resources functions including checking timesheets, submitting leave forms, assist with commencement paperwork for new employees and submission of documentation related to work cover claims.Provide basic training to administrative staff on office systems.Undertake procurement and financial processing duties including banking as required and manage petty cash and reconcile as directed.Register incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain mail register.Maintain facilities and equipment, including performing stock-takes, maintenance of asset register and management of car fleet.Liaise with internal and external agencies as required.Site administration.Maintain the Agency electronic recording systems.Ensure the confidentiality and security of all files and documents and provide appropriate access to the files by relevant staff and approved external agencies.Assist with monitoring and maintaining the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS) to ensure accurate statistics are available.People who work within the Community Corrections environment may be exposed to information about offending behaviours, criminal activity and other explicit, distressing or offensive content.
