This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the business, ensuring profitability, mitigating risks, and driving strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract negotiation, financial management, cost control, and stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesContract ManagementLead contract preparation, negotiation, and execution with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.Ensure contracts are legally sound, commercially viable, and aligned with business objectives.Budgeting & Cost ControlSupport and oversee Project Managers in developing budgets and forecasts.Monitor project costs, proactively addressing potential overruns to maintain financial alignment.Track financial KPIs and provide financial guidance to project teams.Collaborate with the new business team to oversee procurement and tendering processes.Manage subcontractor selection and contract negotiations to ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks across projects and business operations.Implement strategic risk management solutions to safeguard company interests.Prepare financial reports, including cost analysis, profit margins, and cash flow forecasts.Provide regular updates to the Board and stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities and financial strategies.Client & Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.Project Lifecycle SupportOversee commercial aspects from pre-construction to project completion, ensuring contractual compliance.Provide guidance on commercial challenges that arise during project execution.Leadership & ComplianceLead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.Ensure all commercial activities comply with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.Key Skills & ExperienceStrong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of the construction industry.Excellent negotiation and client relationship management skills.Proven experience in contract management and financial oversight.Strong analytical, financial, and numerical skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage risk effectively.Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring teams.This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially driven professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of a dynamic construction business.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionStrategy/Planning, Accounting/Auditing, and FinanceIndustriesConstruction
