Seeking an experienced Engineering Officer to join a growing mining team in the Bowen Basin.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will utilise innovative approaches, tools, and technology to add real value to our teams – setting new standards to guide improvement activity, transforming services, and supporting our people. As part of a highly collaborative team, you will work with stakeholders and support engineering contractors to achieve the right outcome for the business.
Your new role
Some of the key duties in your new role will include:
* MOP Board Maintenance – L2 / L3
* CQO Office Management such as: Ordering Consumables for CQO and MIA, Building Maintenance
* Manage Porosity approval and claiming
* Identify, engage, and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
* Identify continuous improvement initiatives to drive process, cost and productivity improvements for PDM
* Support the team with SAMS Workflow
* Manage PDM ENG Team page
* Assist with Onboarding new starters
* Manage Distribution lists for PDM Engineering
* Assist with Visitor Pass, JMP’s and Supervisor appointment interviews
* WILO maintenance
* Champion for D2 & Tempo
* Assist with 1SAP, Ariba & Cres requisitions / purchase orders
* Coordinate PDM ENG events (team days, workshops, catering etc.)
* Support Engineering leadership team with administration activities
* Manage team vehicles (Corefleet & Orix)
* Ensure work management and business system compliance
* Minimize reliance on individual knowledge and expertise, and reduce business continuity risk
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
* Previous experience in a similar role on a coal mine site
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a drive to achieve innovative solutions.
* Strong focus on team culture and continuous improvement
* Able to communicate to a team effectively
* Be able to handle difficult situations and have time management
* Be able to lead and drive simplicity, sustainability, accountability and integrity within a team
What you'll get in return
The role is based on site in the Bowen Basin, with options of living residentially in Moranbah or Dysart, FIFO from Brisbane or DIDO from Mackay and surrounding areas.
