This is a new and exciting role within our F&B team at Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA). If you are able to drive revenue by securing and managing event bookings, building client relationships and ensuring seamless event execution to maximise customer satisfaction and profitability we would love to hear from you.The principle elements of the role are:-Key Responsibilities and Purpose:First point of contact for incoming emails, telephone calls and direct leads for Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) events and conference enquiries managing client requirement and facilitating the enquiry.Host site inspections and venue tours for potential customers.Create client specific proposals for events and conferencing, clearly out line venue costs, catering and associated services.Meet with clients to understand their needs and tailor bespoke events for their needs.Handle all client follow up for booking enquiries, negotiating as required to confirm the event.Manage all aspects of the client event including external suppliers and contractors.Oversee the set up and bump in of the full event and be onsite for the hosts arrival.Manage and assist the CYCA events team with on the day event requirements.Ensure that all administrative duties are completed accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with group policies and procedures.Perform any additional general office administrative duties as required.When required also assist with function room set ups and running operations of events.Key Performance Goals: Deliver exceptional and consistent customer service. Identify, monitor and report on any challenges as required. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Ensure all enquiries are answered within the set time frames and meet other key performance metrics.Achieve high client satisfaction at responses received.Key Skills & Experience: At least three years relevant experience in the hospitality and events sectors.High level of personal morale and appearance.Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections.Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment.Possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with customers over the phone.Possess and be able to demonstrate strong influencing and closing skills.Adaptability and ability to learn.Ability to ask questions and seek the answers to questions asked of you by clients.Positive attitude and willingness to foster a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to productivity and effectiveness.Core values of Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Honesty and Pride.If you would like to apply for this exciting role at the CYCA, please do not hesitate, send your resume and a covering letter to our F&B Manager at: (email protected)
