* Position Summary
Mosaic’s care support workers provide support and care to aged care clients in their own homes to enable them to remain in their own homes and maintain their dignity and independence. Care support workers have a responsibility to report on the changing care needs of a client or consumer and to ensure high quality service provision.
Key Responsibilities
Tasks for each client are described in their care plan. These tasks include but are not limited to
the provision of personal care and supervising daily hygiene,
laying out clothes and assisting in dressing,
domestic assistance such as make beds and tidy rooms,
preparation and cooking of meals and assistance with meals,
cleaning, fitting and removal of aids and appliances,
transport to appointments,
assistance with shopping,
monitoring or prompting medications use,
use equipment to assist clients with limited mobility such as hoists, swivel cushions and wheelchairs.
Equipment requirements
You must have your own registered motor vehicle with third party insurance (comprehensive insurance preferred)
You must have your own mobile phone with internet data
Qualifications and licenses
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
Current driver’s licence (minimum green P provisional licence).
First Aid certificate – you are required to maintain your first aid
National criminal record check clearance (police check).
Eligibility to work in Australia.
Must have at least two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine.
Flu vaccinations as recommended for aged care workers.
