The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities for business improvement across the firm.
The Senior Systems Engineer will contribute to and support our IT infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud-based, while delivering modern technology implementations across the firm. You will be entrusted to deliver short-term tactical solutions to minimise waste and technical debt, while demonstrating well-thought-out judgement and planning for longer-term projects.

Key Responsibilities Design and implement Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, including virtual environments and network configurations. Integrate and manage hybrid cloud environments that combine Azure/AWS with on-premises infrastructure. Ensure effective deployment and ongoing maintenance of Microsoft 365 services like Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.Support Windows servers, VMware environments, Active Directory, high availability technologies, Virtual Desktop, Remote Access, network administration, storage, and hardware.Implement and manage security measures such as multi-factor authentication, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.Execute seamless system upgrades, migrations, and patch management across on-premise and cloud environments.Collaborate with broader technology and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.Required skills and personal attributes Minimum of 5 years of experience gained as a Microsoft Systems Engineer or in a similar role.Skilled in building, running, and managing M365 cloud solutions such as Azure VMs, Virtual Networks, Azure Active Directory, Azure DNS, Azure Intune, and Group Policy.Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Intune.Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud environments and integrating Azure with on-premises Windows Server infrastructure.Proven experience in implementing and managing security measures for IT infrastructure.Excellent organisational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.Self-motivated and 'value-add' mindset, with a strong and proactive approach towards continuous enhancement.Proactive, innovative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills who thrives in a dynamic environment and can adapt quickly to new methodologies and technologies.About us: Corrs Chambers Westgarth is Australia's leading independent law firm.
