The purpose of this position is to undertake design, development, implementation and maintenance of complex SAP system enhancements and modifications to cost effectively meet business requirements. The Principal Developer (SAP) ensures that Queensland Health’s integrated SAP solution is properly designed, configured, developed, documented, implemented, maintained and reviewed, in order to provide ongoing best practice and quality service to clients. The position reports to the Team Lead, Solution Development (SAP).The successful candidate will lead senior developers and developers in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining system enhancements and modifications in the delivery of support to Queensland Health's SAP HR Payroll integrated Solution, analyse business requirements and system specifications, and provide specialised expertise to staff and management to ensure specifications are aligned to business requirements.Key responsibilities:Analyse and solve complex system problems to provide innovative solutions to business requirements in the delivery of support to Queensland Health and completion of project work in required timeframes.Apply skills in the application of ABAP or Fiori programming, SAP workbench development and integrated HR and Rostering solutions.Complete system design, specification, development, unit testing and maintenance and associated documentation of the applications and systems managed by Corporate Enterprise Solutions in strict compliance with Corporate Enterprise Solutions development standards.Maintain and enforce a quality based procedural framework for the development and maintenance of the systems managed by Queensland Health.Provide high-level advice on the development of information management best practice and application to Queensland Health HR Payroll Solutions.Key competencies/suitability (role specific criteria and personal qualities)Demonstrated extensive experience in business application development technologies, particularly application development technologies and trends in relation to the solution responsibility of this team (SAP) and the ability to apply this knowledge in a complex IT environment.Proven ability in the application of ABAP or Fiori programming, SAP workbench development, and integrated HR and Rostering solutions.Experience in developing and supporting employee and manager self-service applications, with a focus on UX, accessibility, data privacy, and security considerations.To apply for this exciting opportunity, submit your resume and a one-page cover letter online today.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity.Applications will remain current for a period of up to 12 months and may be considered for other vacancies.
