Employment Officer
o Using a strengths-based & person-centred approach to support clients into meaningful and sustainable employment based on their skills and interests
o Supporting clients to maintain their employment through post-placement and ongoing support
o Assisting with the planning and development of the Programs based on client interests, abilities and pre-determined goals within a group or on an individual basis.
o Collecting and submitting documentary evidence related to clients’ employment
o Accompanying persons with a disability and/or disadvantage on work experiences or trials, as well as paid employment, to guide and support them to obtain a successful employment outcome where required.
o Implementing programs, participating in activities, and supporting participants to achieve pre-determined goals established by the Senior Employment Officers and/or Jobnet Coordinator in conjunction with client’s families/carers and other CBS Inc. team members.
IPS Employment Specialist – Mental Health
o Helping to source education and training that could help clients to achieve meaningful employment
o Carry out all phases of employment services including intake, engagement, assessment, job placement, coaching and post-placement follow-along support
o Support with job development activities including compiling resumes and cover letters, completing job applications and interview preparation
o Work with a multidisciplinary team that includes employment and mental health staff
o Delivering services in line with the 8 IPS core practice principles
o Provide one-on-one support to clients within their workplace with a view to building their independence
o Assist clients to understand their employment-related duties and improve efficiencies
o Communicate effectively to advocate for CBS Inc. and your clients in their workplace
o Build positive relationships with clients’ employers, team members and stakeholders
o Use initiative and problem-solving skills to assist clients to maintain their employment
o Administration and basic computer skills to accurately record case notes
o Collaborate with and support clients’ case managers
o Occasional office supports
o Meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Position Requirements:
o Current Australian Driver's Licence - P2 minimum (essential)
o Relevant NDIS/DHS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain)
o Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
