The Department forInfrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities fortransport systems and services, infrastructure planning andprovision within South Australia.
Duties
The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) provides municipal servicesand community support to residents, associations, and townshipsacross Outback SA, which is approximately 63% of the state. TheOCA’s goals include improving liveability and sustaining ourcommunities, growing the outback economy and advocating for theinterests of outback people.
The Field Officer,Standards, Risk and Compliance plays a crucial role in improvingcommunity well-being and amenity by managing and mitigating risksspecific to the OCA and Outback SA (the unincorporated areas ofSouth Australia), by establishing and maintaining a culture ofcompliance, educating people and communities about theirresponsibilities in relation to a range of relevant legislation,standards, regulations and policies, and consistently upholdinghigh ethical standards. The Field Officer, Standards, Risk andCompliance works effectively with stakeholders and Outback SAresidents through practices that are tailored to the uniquechallenges of the region.
Requirements
A current driver's licence is required
Willingness to undertakefour-wheel drive training
SpecialConditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a NationalPolice Check prior to employment with the Department. Additionalemployment checks may be required relevant to the role beingundertaken as outlined in the role statement.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with someintra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may berequired.
Remuneration
ASO5- $85,273 to $92,614 per annum
