The role ensures greater participation and influence by guiding initiatives that empower individuals and groups.
Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for formulating policies and procedures in alignment with government guidelines to support effective community development.
Key responsibilities include: Lead a team to ensure the delivery of plans, policies, standards, procedures and that will ensure high quality contemporary outcomes for the community, in conjunction with key internal and external stakeholders.Lead and develop programs and opportunities to increase the engagement and participation of Council's Sports and Community Clubs.Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders and other parts of Council to maximise participation and utilisation of community, sport & recreation, and open space assets.Co-ordinate the implementation of a range of community projects with a view to improving social outcomes and the quality of experience for users of Council's community facilities, including the development, delivery and implementation of relevant key Council Strategies, Policies and Guidelines.Develop, monitor and manage program budget in conjunction with the Manager community Participation.About youTo be successful in this role, you will be an experienced people leader with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people.
You will have high levels of attention to detail and resilience and enjoy finding practical solutions to complex issues.
Tertiary qualifications, degree in the human services field, or an equivalent mix of qualifications and work experience in conjunction with progress towards such a qualification.Ability to provide leadership, supervision and professional support to employees engaged in the provision of community based services.Ability to promote teamwork and foster the exchange of ideas and participation of employees members in problem solving and the development of service improvements.Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Community based services.Highly developed ability to lead, influence, motivate and develop employees.Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process.Child Safety ResponsibilitiesWe are committed to being a child-safe organisation and have zero-tolerance for child abuse.
