About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Transaction Services Manager / Associate Director to join our client's London-based team. This role focuses on financial due diligence engagements for a variety of clients, including private equity firms, corporate clients, and financial institutions. You will work on high-profile deals in the UK and across Europe, delivering critical insights into the financial health and viability of target companies, supporting clients through the deal lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Financial Due Diligence Projects : Manage and execute financial due diligence projects for buy-side and sell-side transactions, including analysis of financial statements, cash flows, and key performance metrics.
* Client Engagement : Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and understanding their strategic objectives. Provide clients with insights and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
* Team Management : Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality work and development of their technical skills. Oversee project delivery to meet deadlines while maintaining client expectations.
* Report Preparation : Prepare and present comprehensive due diligence reports, highlighting key financial risks, quality of earnings, working capital considerations, and other factors that could impact the transaction.
* Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with other advisory teams, such as tax, legal, and valuation specialists, to deliver integrated solutions for clients.
* Business Development : Participate in business development initiatives, including client pitches, proposal preparation, and networking events. Contribute to thought leadership activities to enhance the firm's market presence.
* Market and Sector Insights : Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes in the UK and European deal markets.
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional Qualification : ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
* Experience : 5+ years in financial due diligence, transaction services, or related advisory work, preferably within a Big Four or top-tier professional services firm. Experience managing complex deals across multiple sectors.
* Skills : Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify key issues. Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
* Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Leadership : Demonstrated experience in leading project teams and managing multiple stakeholders.
* Languages : Fluency in English; additional European language skills would be advantageous.
