About our client
Our Client based in Morningside specialise in creating and producing fresh ingredients, ready-to-eat salads and fresh convenience foods.
What you'll do
Work along side a team preparing and creating salads, fresh fruit and veg and ready to eat meals:
·Preparation: Assemble salad ingredients according to specified recipes and standards.
·Portioning: Accurately measure and portion ingredients into containers.
·Sealing: Seal containers securely to maintain freshness and prevent leakage.
·Labelling: Apply labels to containers with accurate product information, including dates and codes.
·Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and hygiene standards.
·Sorting: Separate any damaged or non-conforming items for further inspection or disposal.
·Handling: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the packing area to ensure a smooth workflow.
·Machine operating: Operating a variety of food production machines (labelling, cryovac, cutting vegetables).
·Knife Hand: cutting, sorting, and trimming vegetables and salad items.
·Palletising and packing boxes.
·Tray washing with heavy lifting in a wet environment.
What you'll need
·Happy to work in a cold room environment 1-4 degrees
·Have your own reliable transport, unfortunately public transport is limited in this area
·At least 12 months experience in a food production or packing environment.
·Happy to wear personal protective gear
·Available to work 4-5 shifts, up to 40hrs a week spread over a Monday- Saturday roster
·Full Australian working rights.
