About the role
Casual lecturers or tutors in the School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation are expected to conduct high-quality teaching, marking and student consultation in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. They also contribute to the effective functioning of the School by undertaking various administrative duties related to supporting students.
About you
* Demonstrated ability to undertake quality teaching in undergraduate or postgraduate courses
* Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a teaching intensive environment
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for interacting with team members and colleagues
* Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting or Taxation (or a dual degree with specialization in Accounting or Taxation)
* CPA or CA ANZ qualified (desirable, or equivalent)
* Work experience in accounting / taxation / finance capacity
* Some teaching experience in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Auditing, Business Taxation and Tax Policy
Description
The casual lecturer or tutor will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in the School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation. This will include developing and delivering course materials, assessing student performance, and providing feedback and support to students.
In addition to teaching, the casual lecturer or tutor will also contribute to the effective functioning of the School by undertaking various administrative duties. This may include attending course meetings, participating in professional development activities, and collaborating with other academics and staff to achieve School goals.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in areas such as Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Auditing, Business Taxation and Tax Policy.
