This program will focus on developing advanced submarine capabilities, integrating cutting-edge technology, and fostering international cooperation among Australia, the UK, and the US. As we enter the crucial mobilisation phase of the contract, your expertise will be vital in developing strategic plans that can be delivered into actionable outcomes.This role will be responsible for establishing, coordinating and managing the appropriate risk and opportunity management processes for use within a Project within the program delivery team. This position requires the provision of project risk and opportunity policy/process advice that meets the requirements of the project's contractual obligations and complies with BAE Systems Australia's process of Risk & Opportunity Management.The position provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on Project Risk & Opportunity Management, quantitative risk modelling, Risk & Opportunity Reporting, Coordinating Risk Reviews, Maintaining the Project Risk & Opportunity Register, and advising the Project Manager in the monitoring/auditing of project risk and opportunity across the Contract Statement of Work. The position is also responsible for provision of training and skills improvement for risk management, along with ownership of risk systems/tools/repositories generated using Commonwealth systems/tools/repositories where nominated within the Project.Key responsibilities include:Establishing and managing the deployment of risk and opportunity process assets that support the ProjectResponsible for the compliance of BAE to the contracted requirements for Risk & Opportunity ManagementLeading the mitigation and monitoring of project risk and opportunity for The ProjectProvision of specialist advice to assist project implementation of risk and opportunity activitiesIdentifying and implementing risk and opportunity interventions to improve risk and opportunity management for the projectCommunicating and influencing to effectively promote management of risk and opportunity within the ProjectPartnering with the PM Function in the alignment of Defence consolidation and standardisation of risk and opportunity repositoriesBeing a member of global BAE Systems Predict User Group as requiredAdvising the Project Manager on escalation of project risk to Line of Business riskDirecting risk management activities and ensuring risk management systems are maintained in accordance with contractual & regulatory frameworksAbout YOUTertiary qualifications in Project Management and/or significant risk/project experience (desirable)Demonstrated experience in risk management within a Defence environment will be advantageousAbility to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationshipsAbility to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside their immediate team, to implement project/business requirementsWell-developed self-management skills and demonstrated partnership abilities to mentor and assist project/business requirementsIntermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Predict or ARM Software.Current NV1 Defence Security Clearance or eligibility to obtainWe believe in hiring for potential; we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
