DESCRIPTION

The Operations team is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support financial analysis, planning and control in our fast growing Australian Fulfillment Network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Operations to drive continuous improvement in financial and operational performance. Lead the operational planning process
- Support expansion projects and new business initiatives, third-party agreements, network location analyses. Ensure timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained.
- Partner with Retail, IT, Transportation, Supply Chain teams to drive optimal cross functional decision that maximize Amazon's long term free cash flow.
- Drive standardization of operational processes within the Fulfillment Center network, adopt and share best practices across Europe and worldwide. Review business cases for capital expenditure, ensure execution of capex plan and fixed asset management.
- Contribute to the next generation development of site finance planning and analysis; influence across sites and across operating countries to effect change.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 5+ years of advanced proficiency in Excel (pivots, lookups, etc.) experience
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing strategy, and achieving goals by working across the organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase or Cognos) and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to management for strategic decision-making
- Experience working with senior staff (e.g., c-suite)
