Job Overview
We are seeking casual Residential Youth Workers who can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people living in out-of-home care.
As a Residential Youth Worker with Edmen, you will work with some of Australia's best youth service providers, every day granting you a unique experience and adventure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Create a Safe and Supportive Home: Foster a secure, nurturing environment for at-risk youth.
* Empower Daily Living: Assist with personal care, meals, and hygiene to promote independence.
* Facilitate Transportation: Ensure young people attend school, appointments, and community activities.
* Promote Growth: Encourage skill development and socialization within the local community.
* Manage Health Needs: Administer medications and maintain accurate reporting.
* Deliver Trauma-Informed Care: Support youth with complex behaviors using trauma-informed approaches.
Requirements
* Hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work, Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Social Work, Disability Support Work or similar.
* Australian Drivers License (Full)
* NSS Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid & CPR certificate
* Covid-19 vaccination certificate
* The ability to work a mixture of day, night and weekend shifts as required
