The Directorate works collaboratively with other Deputy Commissioners across the Corrective Services Division to influence the provision of services and programs to reduce reoffending and improve reintegration and rehabilitation outcomes for young people.The Business Manager is responsible for supporting the Deputy Commissioner by effectively managing the Directorate’s administrative and workflow functions in accordance with Departmental procedures and providing strategic leadership in the coordination and development of financial reports which are timely and accurate.Developing and monitoring financial management policies and procedures and ensure the Office complies with all relevant legislations, statutory, corporate and government regulatory frameworks. In addition, the position works collaboratively with Business Units on innovative solutions and Business improvement initiatives.The Business Manager Is Responsible For Develops and maintains relevant partnerships and relationships within the Department, with other government authorities and with external organisations to ensure the Directorates strategic, operational, and business requirements are met. Establishes and maintains positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a high standard of customer service, and ongoing stakeholder relationships are maintained. Provides leadership, financial advice, business support and guides change or improvements in financial processes consistent with the Department’s objectives. Coordinates financial management procedures for the Directorate and ensures the preparation of budget, Mid-Year Review submission and other financial information. Manages branch budgets and resources and monitors the branch financial performance against targets. Follow and manage the Human Resource Management Guidelines, Delegation Authority are effectively deployed to meet the needs of the Branch.
