How will I help?
You will assist with system enhancement, including the implementation of business recovery, disaster recovery, and continuity plans, ensuring system availability, reliability, stability, currency, and recoverability of applications to meet agreed service levels.
o Resolve incidents and problems to ensure systems operate as required.
o Provide immediate application support during service disruptions or issues, ensuring service availability and meeting service level requirements.
o Develop and maintain operational and system documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applications.
o Assist change and continuous improvement initiatives.
o Proactively identify and resolve root causes of application problems and incidents.
o Collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
o Participate in Major Incident and Major Problem reviews.
o Perform application analysis and tuning to maintain optimal performance and capacity requirements.
o Recommend changes to application or its usage that can potentially reduce cost or improve performance.
o Undertake continuous improvement activities within the team to ensure services are delivered more efficiently and provide support to stakeholders through appropriate Change Management activities.
o Promote and ensure the use of agreed tools and methodologies.
o Resolve incidents escalated by Level 2 Support.
o Deploy code fixes to implement corrective actions for identified problems or vulnerabilities.
o Participate in testing of disaster recovery plans, business continuity, and disaster recovery drills.
What do I need?
This role focuses on providing L3 SME support for a wide range of applications, making previous experience in L2 / L3 Application Support highly desirable.
o Proven experience in application support.
o Experience in a corporate IT environment (preferred).
o Support experience in a Windows Server environment.
o Experience with payments processing (preferred).
o Proficiency in building environments, deploying applications, and managing server operating infrastructures.
o SQL and PowerShell expertise.
o Knowledge of SSL certificates and Web Application Firewalls.
