Our transactions are not only in the Australian market but a significant number are offshore. Our expertise has been reflected in our DCM team being finalists both in the Australasian Law Awards and in the Financial Times Asia Pacific Innovative Lawyers 2018. Our Debt Capital Markets practice advises on a broad range of transactions including domestic and offshore debt programmes, high yield bonds, additional Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues, green bonds, sustainability bonds, social impact bonds, structured finance and securitisation transactions. Duncan McGrath leads the Baking & Finance and DCM team. He is a high-profile, senior debt capital markets lawyer. Duncan was previously a partner at Gilbert Tobin, where he established and headed that firm's DCM and securitisation practice and has also worked at Allens, Allen & Overy and Goldman Sachs. The firm is expanding its Debt Capital Markets practice globally, including in Sydney, where it is experiencing strong client demand. Experience Required We are seeking a mid-level Associate with 2-5 years’ PQE in debt capital markets and structured finance/securitisation experience gained in a top tier firm, to add value to our team. Ideally the candidate comes from a similar top tier firm environment, where they have developed strong technical, drafting and commercial skills. They should have a strong client service ethic, initiative and drive, and work well as part of a team.
