Wagga Wagga City Council are calling for applications from motivated people who have previous labouring experience to join numerous locations of Council. This is an ideal opportunity for people accustomed to hands on work and are looking for a job that has lots of variety.
Positions are casual and on an as needs basis. Applications will be retained on file to fill vacancies within our casual pool as they arise throughout the year.
* Remuneration of $34.82 gross per hour (inclusive of casual loading) + superannuation.
Duties of these positions may include but are not limited to:
* General labouring;
* Fencing and litter control activities;
* Concrete and paving;
* Traffic/pedestrian management;
* Operating and maintaining items of plant, equipment, and tools.
What you will need to succeed:
We are looking for people who:
* Have previous experience in a labouring position.
* Have a Class C Drivers Licence (minimum).
* Have a General Construction Induction Training Card (White).
* Can work well as part of a team.
* Are highly motivated, are driven to achieve and want to provide a service for the community.
* Are committed to WH&S requirements of the role.
In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis A (Parks and Gardens) and Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus (Gregadoo Waste Management Centre) and evidence of Q-Fever is required for some areas of Council such as the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC). All candidates will be required to provide evidence of the immunisation/s prior to commencement.
