Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this dynamic role is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of GFP Events in NSW and selected QLD locations. This is a hands-on, full-time position requiring operational oversight, team leadership, and client relationship management. The role is based in Sydney, NSW and involves some interstate travel.
Responsibilities
Event Management :
* Oversee the delivery of graduation and commercial events, ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.
* Manage logistics, risk management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Ensure smooth event setup and pack-down, driving continuous improvements.
* Lead, train, and mentor an effective event team.
* Manage scheduling, delegation, and team performance.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
Client & Stakeholder Management :
* Act as the primary contact for university clients, ensuring their needs are met.
* Provide strategic recommendations and tailored event solutions.
* Maintain and develop strong client partnerships.
* Manage event budgets, control costs, and optimise resources.
* Ensure equipment and staffing needs are met.
* Identify and implement technology and sustainability improvements.
