The Opportunity We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with a continuous improvement mindset and a results-driven approach to join our team.
As the Management Accountant, you will provide support in the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting consolidation process, report preparation, and value-adding to planning models.
You will also contribute to providing analytical insights to mitigate any risks and assist in preparing long-term financial planning.
Key Responsibilities: Support the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting consolidation process.
Prepare and present financial reports.
Develop and enhance financial planning models.
Provide analytical insights for risk mitigation.
Assist with long-term financial planning.
Maintain accounting records for a Joint Venture.
Maintain accounting and tax Fixed Asset Registers and capital project reporting in SAP.
Reconcile and perform analysis of general ledger accounts.
Identify potential improvements to financial processes and systems.
Lead ad-hoc projects to improve and rationalize financial processes.
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate: Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Progression towards or membership of a recognized Australian accounting body.
Substantial experience in financial planning for large organizations with multiple funding arrangements.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating, preparing, and monitoring complex consolidated budgets and forecasts.
Well-developed reporting skills.
Excellent organizational and planning skills.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and email systems.
Experience using Oracle-based enterprise systems for planning is desirable.
Qualifications & Experience Required: Tertiary Accounting Qualifications (Bachelor's level or higher).
Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Xero, and MYOB.
3-5 years' experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns.
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation.
Solid interpersonal skills for communicating financial concepts.
Excellent project and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Collaborative approach when working with diverse stakeholders.
Confidence in problem-solving business risks and testing.
