Entura is dedicated to empowering people and communities with clean energy in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.Reporting to the Manager Primary and Transmission Engineering, you will be responsible for leading a range of technical and client-facing activities covering technical design, project management, bidding and scoping activities, client negotiations, and stakeholder management. This will include a technical scope of work across civil and structural transmission lines, distribution lines, and primary substation design. You will have a pivotal role in leading day-to-day delivery and engagement with clients, across diverse projects including wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro and utilities works (transmission and distribution substations, switchyards and lines) for a broad range of clients.To be successful in this role you will bring experience across:At least 15 years' experience in structural (Lattice structures) design work, with a particular emphasis on transmission line and substation structural design work.Strong knowledge of the following Australian Standards: AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170.Sound experience in the use of computer design packages such as PLS Tower, PLS Pole; Development of conductor loads for transmission and substation structures.Experience in the development of conductor attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures through the 'Limit State' design method.Experience in the analysis of lattice towers, pole and gantry structures, as well as lattice tower member connection detailing and design.Experience in existing tower augmentation and strengthening works for TL upgradation projects.Ability to solve complex technical and operational problems, either through a systematic approach or innovation.Previous experience in an engineering design consultancy environment will be highly regarded.Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia, or equivalent professional body.This is a career redefining role to contribute to innovative engineering solutions that make a difference for the future.This role is ideally based in the Tasmania office; however, it is open to any location across the east coast of Australia with flexible remote work arrangements an option ongoing.
