Your role:
As the Clinical Nurse you will:
1. Deliver a quality nursing service responsive to student and school needs.
2. Provide nursing services that build the capability of school staff to safely support students with health needs, enabling their access and participation in all aspects of schooling on the same basis as their peers who do not have health support needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
3. Form strategic partnerships with schools, health professionals and families as part of a multi-disciplinary team
4. Deliver school staff education through in-service training scenarios
5. Support capability building, curriculum planning, resource development and school improvement initiatives
6. Develop evidence informed methodology effectively to be implemented across state schools in your area
7. Develop emergency health plans supporting students in education setting
8. Consult various stakeholders to enhance professional nursing practices and standards
9. Maintain and build professional networks
10. Form partnerships with other allied health professionals to increase network capacity
11. Analyse policies, procedures, legislation, codes and standards to support continuous improvement through the delivery of health services across the state
12. High level consultation providing information to parents, staff and students
13. Actively participate as a valued team member across multi-disciplinary settings and represent your profession at all times
