About the role
Permanent full time opportunity to To provide efficient pharmacy services that is aligned to organisational goals and legislative standards. Coordinate pharmacy workflow in the dispensary and supporting the pharmacist with prescription preparation, clinical support, imprest management and administrative support. The Advanced Scope Pharmacy Assistant is recognised as part of the RBWH Pharmacy Assistant senior team and works closely with other Advanced Scope Pharmacy Assistants and the Pharmacy Assistant Team Leaders to provide support to a large and diverse team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
1. Manage SHHS clinic imprest supply, imprest lists and stock rotation.
2. Provide general administrative support to contribute to the efficient operation of the Pharmacy including patient copayments, archiving and prescription pads.
3. Using standard procedures and policies, answer queries from patients and staff of a non clinical nature with respect to services and supplies.
4. Under the delegation of a pharmacist, refer to and liaise with health care providers within the immediate team as well as community health providers such as community pharmacists and general practitioners.
5. Support pharmacy services at RBWH as required by the Pharmacy Assistant Team Leader.
