Position: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of advanced gas turbine engines. This role involves creating innovative and reliable design solutions, overseeing the engineering process from concept through to production, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to the growth of our dynamic team, utilising SolidWorks CAD software for design and development.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.Extensive experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace, defence, or related high-technology manufacturing sectors.A proven track record of designing complex mechanical systems, with demonstrated experience in using SolidWorks CAD software.Hands-on experience in testing and developing engineering solutions.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle technical challenges effectively.A deep understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.A commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Experience with additive manufacturing, finite element analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus.Must have the right to work in Australia.For dynamic and results-oriented engineers with a passion for innovation and a desire to make a significant impact in the defence industry, this is an exciting opportunity to join and grow with Aurora Labs.
