THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Supply & Demand Planner you will be responsible for maximising the sales of inventory items through maintaining efficient stock levels and service to Stratco’s retail, trade and online customers. This is an exciting opportunity with the ability to have genuine impact in the work you will do.
Based at our corporate office in Gepps Cross, reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, the primary focus of this role is replenishment of warehouse and home improvement store stock levels using ERP (Oracle) systems, accurately forecasting, placing, and expediting purchase orders with Stratco manufacturing and external suppliers nationally. Working as part of a team you will be involved in continuous improvement projects and will work with stakeholders at Stratco locations nationally.
In this position you will be the integration point between the national category team, state-based teams and retail stores, warehousing, procurement, manufacturing and imports, facilitating a collaborative process to achieve the sales, service and inventory targets.
ABOUT YOU
o Essential - ERP systems proficiency – experience with Oracle, JDE, SAP or similar
o Desirable -Demonstrated experience in a Supply or Demand Planning role with industry experience either in Retail, FMCG and/or Manufacturing is imperative and experience in a multi-site national manufacturing business
o Desirable - Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce, Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning or other related discipline
o Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, where process optimisation, new system implementation and cost reduction is a focus
o Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to question process and recommend ideas to mitigate supply risks
o An innate set of skills in negotiation,, working collaboratively and developing strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
o Experience in managing complex supply chain network models, including third party logistics, and understanding system levers required to achieve supply KPIs.
o Exceptional communication skills and able to work independently whilst contributing within the team.
o Strong skills in Excel, for analytics, reporting, forecasting demand and identifying trends
