Job Description - Senior Demand Planner (2507030751W)
Demand planning is the activity of understanding and predicting customer demand. For this purpose, it combines statistical analysis of the sales history and the pipeline of commercial opportunities together with business intelligence from marketing, sales, and product management.
This role will lead the demand planning process for a specific product portfolio, emphasizing seasonal portfolios, being accountable for:
1. Forecast generation and maintenance as per IBP cadence
2. Scenario planning strategy for seasonal brands
3. Key Performance Matrices – Forecast Accuracy, Inventory, Customer OTIF
4. Partnering with regional Supply team to ensure competitive & sustainable service level while achieving adequate inventory level
5. Representing EtE supply chain team in new product launch projects
6. Ensuring right engagement with key accounts/customers by providing weekly visibility on key metrics
This position will be based out of Sydney and report directly to the Demand Planning Manager.

IBP 60%
1. Strategize scenario planning with close collaboration with brand, category and sales partner for seasonal portfolios to include Hi-Med-Lo scenario with extreme demand outlook, considering but not limited to product lead time, new cycle seasonal prediction, safety stock and inventory management pre/post season
2. Generation and maintenance of sales forecast, leveraging statistical forecast capability, including Sales and Marketing intelligence
3. Active participation in IBP cycles, driving a robust business planning process (S&OE & DR)
4. Participate in Demand Planning COE as required by manager to lead improvement and implementation in Pacific market of new capabilities (i.e. product segmentation, low touch planning)
5. Partner with Regional Supply Chain (APSC) team in delivering a competitive & sustainable customer service level
6. Analyze & report reasons for service misses. Identify and coordinate service recovery initiative in instances where customer expectations would otherwise not be met and drive initiatives to correct & prevent future occurrences
7. Collaborate with local Rework Planner to ensure efficient customer service outcomes for locally repacked product
New Product Launches: Cross‐Functional Team Collaboration 20%
1. Active Project Team participation to ensure timeliness in completion of NPI/PIPO executions
2. Represent Demand Planning within Project team in providing supply chain input and expertise, partnering with Regional Supply Chain to ensure right supply chain set‐up from start (MOQ, LT, rework) and achievement of project team goals
3. Partner with other functional representatives by ensuring smooth and continuous communication
Asset Management 20%
1. Partner with Regional Supply Chain (APSC) team to implement aligned safety stock parameters and ensure customer service levels are met with optimal level of inventory.
2. Review inventory related opportunities and partner with Regional Supply Chain (APSC) and commercial stakeholders to ensure that the business derives maximum financial return on its inventory including SLOB and excess inventory management
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
1. Preferred minimum education: Tertiary degree or equivalent work experience considered. Preferred area of study: Engineering, Math, Physics, Supply Chain, Accounting. Preferred related industry experience: Preferably Pharmaceutical or FMCG.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Proven track record of process improvements
2. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a FMCG or Consumer Pharma company. Sales operation experience will be a plus to help build strong X-functional collaboration.
3. Someone with ideas who is happy to share and collaborate with cross-functional teams
4. Excellent numerical and data analysis skills.
5. Proficient in SAP platform, Excel, Word.
6. Someone enthusiastic and positive about finding the best outcomes
7. Have initiative and a “can do” attitude
8. Be friendly, self-motivated and have a strong work ethic
9. Resourceful, focused self-starter
