· Defines and agrees scope, objectives, activities, milestone, and timelines, to successfully deliver complex projects outcomes. · Adopts and adapts project management methods and tools to the needs of the project and organisation. · Establishes appropriate project governance. · Monitors and controls schedule, resources, and budgets. · Ensures risks and issues are identified and appropriately documented & mitigated. · Ensures that the size and nature or organisational impact is understood, and that plans/support is in place to ensure that changes are embedded successfully. · Focus on the details for e.g. prepare business teams run sheets / implementation plans for the project and track the status of each item to successful completion. 2. Stakeholder Relationship Management · Ensures that stakeholders are identified, their needs understood, and appropriate plans in place to obtain and maintain their support. · Acts as a central point of contact for stakeholders in relation to the project or workstream, building strong, trusted, relationships. · Being able to prepare Steering Committee papers, engage with Exec level / GM / Heads Of level stakeholders to articulate project status & manage delivery expectations. 3. Risk Management · Ensures that risks are identified, understood, and documented, and that effective monitoring and mitigation is in place. · Engages specialists / domain experts, as necessary. 4. Resource and Performance Management · Ensures resource requirements are identified and engages with resource owners to secure required resources to meet demand. · Ensures that the Resource forecasts are updated on an as need basis. · Encourages and supports development of skills and capabilities in line with personal goals and team needs. 5. Schedule Planning and Management · Address conflicting priorities within the team and ensure the team escalates issues as required. · Ensures that plans are up to date in the appropriate tooling, and plans are updated regularly to reflect the latest status. 6. Scope control · Define and agree project scope and outcomes. · Manage scope change, as necessary. Must have: Successfully delivered large, complex, projects in a financial services environment spanning business and technology, with interdependencies and competing priorities across other projects / delivery teams Effective communication, negotiation, influencing and facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate and build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated emotional intelligence and willingness to continuously improve both yourself and your teams. Ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment. Nice to have: Tertiary qualified in business OR equivalent industry experience in the Advice/ Superannuation and/ or Wrap platforms having worked across Product, Operations, Custody, Finance, Marketing teams and/or Technology. Experience managing Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid projects. Experience using the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence). Growth mindset and experience helping to evolve delivery practices.
