As they prepare for an important phase of service delivery, our client is building a new team of professionals who will play a key role in supporting their operations and long-term goals.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Payroll Officers to join our client on a non-ongoing basis until June 30, 2025, with the potential for extension.
In this role, you will be utilising the Aurion payroll software to manage weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay runs.
With the organisation undergoing a significant rebuild and reset, you’ll have the chance to be part of a new team, shaping processes and creating meaningful impact as the agency enters an exciting new chapter and begins working on some critical projects.
The Role
As an APS4 Payroll Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
* Processing payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis using Aurion
* Managing payroll queries and resolving discrepancies promptly
* Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and internal policies
* Supporting end-of-month and end-of-year payroll reconciliation activities
* Collaborating with HR and finance teams to deliver seamless payroll services
The Ideal Person
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
* Demonstrated experience in payroll processing, ideally within the APS
* Familiarity with Aurion payroll software or similar systems
* A strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under time pressures
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Salary / Rate
$75k – $80k + 15.4% Super
