The opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Legal Advisor to join our team!In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of legal advice and legal work in respect of Privacy and Regulatory. How will you make an impact? Key responsibilities include:
1. Provide legal advice in respect of privacy and regulatory matters across the business
2. Identify and report on upcoming changes to law and regulation and the relevant impact on the business.
3. The provision of the highest quality, reliable and comprehensive legal advice to the leadership teams on Privacy and Regulatory matters.
4. Support the maintenance of formal relationships between Bupa and relevant regulators, including drafting of regulatory correspondence.
5. Keep up to date on developments in law to ensure that the advice provided is sound, accurate and relevant
6. Exploring and adopting legal process management initiatives to optimise the provision of legal services to the business
7. Developing relationships and collaborating within Bupa APAC and Bupa global legal team to deliver outcomes for the business

8. Experience at Senior Associate level at a law firm or equivalent senior lawyer in-house
9. Law degree from an Australian or international university
10. A current relevant practising certificate in a state Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia
11. Strong Privacy and Regulatory background
12. Past experience with compliance and risk management preferred, but not essential
13. Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management sills
14. Commercial acumen with the ability to provide pragmatic legal advice
15. Healthcare/ health insurance regulatory experience is not essential
