An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven & experienced Environmental Consultant to join our internationally recognised Environmental Management Permitting & Compliance team in North Queensland, from our established office in either Mackay or Townsville.
Articulate, motivated, and reliable, you will have 3-8 years' experience in Environmental Consulting.
Regulatory and/or mining experience will be viewed favourably but is not required; with the right attitude and aptitude, we will provide you with training and guidance.
Our North Queensland team are fun-loving, supportive of each other inside and outside of work, and experts in their fields.
You will enjoy undertaking project work whilst learning from this experienced team and developing client relationships throughout the region.
You will also collaborate on exciting projects and initiatives with the national team and other teams within our multi-disciplinary business.

Developing, facilitating, and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team membersOperational management plan developmentEnvironmental auditingProgressive Rehabilitation and Closure PlansProgressive Rehabilitation Certification applicationsEstimated Rehabilitation Cost (ERC)Environment management & ESGMining approvalsMining Permit and lease relinquishmentProviding advice regarding best practice environmental impact assessment and management principles to clients and internal SLR team membersWorking within and leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectorsDelivering clear and precise, high-quality reportsOccasional travel to undertake field studies and routine monitoring activitiesExperience
To be successful in this role, you will be a positive and engaging character with a great sense of humour as well as have:
A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field3 years + post-graduation experience, preferably in Consulting.Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.Working knowledge of QLD environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelinesExperience in the mining, infrastructure, power and/or agribusiness sectors is highly valued but not a prerequisite.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Consulting software and intermediate-advanced excel skills.Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.Our Benefits
