In this role, you will support the Engineering teams for mechanical investigation, collaborating with business partners to adopt suitable new technologies. Your new role: Provide expert support in Mechanical engineering matters across the corporation. Offer technical guidance in Safety in Design (SiD) matters. Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to enhance the teams' capabilities. Identify and evaluate new technologies, driving innovation and best practice improvements in Mechanical engineering standards and practices. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders ensuring effective communication with engineering teams, project managers, vendors and contractors. Determine suitability of new and emerging technology to benefit the corporation. Support the Engineering design/studies team for mechanical investigation. Travel to sites to assess engineering situations frequently. This role has the ability to influence the engineering team working with the Principal Engineer to achieve the company objectives. As the Senior Engineer of the Team, you will need the following to be successful: Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential. Sound knowledge of Mechanical engineering procedures and practices. Experience in the provision of investigation, concept and detailed design of Mechanical infrastructure. Demonstrated experience in executing complex and critical engineering investigations. Knowledge to develop project-specific mechanical specifications. Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia (EA) or in the process of obtaining chartership with EA is desirable.
